Dear Memorial Family,

Can you believe it's already October? It feels like we just finished VBS last week, but here we are, with our hearts turning once more toward the important work of stewardship.

As we move into this time of reflection, I'm excited about our brand-new Worship Series, "Wholehearted." This series is all about what it means to be wholehearted disciples who are wholehearted stewards of all the time, talent, and treasure God has blessed us with. It’s an invitation to examine the posture of our souls and commit our very best to God’s purposes.

Over the next four weeks, we're going to dive deep into what this looks like in practice. We'll meet four wholehearted saints from church history who modeled incredible dedication, and we will also lean into four important narratives from the Acts of the Apostles that show us the same kind of radical commitment in the early church. It is going to be an insightful and challenging series for us all!

Because this is our stewardship season, this is also the time when we begin our prayerful journey toward pledging our financial support for the work God will do through Memorial in 2026. I want to strongly encourage all of our people to carve out intentional time this month for prayer. As you consider filling out your pledge card, listen carefully for the voice of the Holy Spirit's leading. This commitment is not simply about meeting a budget goal; it’s about a spiritual discipline—one of those healthy habits we spoke about a few weeks ago—that centers us on God's generosity first.

At Memorial, we are a church where Christ's love shows up through our worship, study, connection, and service. Thank you for making this mission possible through your faithfulness.

Blessings,

Pastor Charlie
