Dear Beloved Friends,

We are halfway through our stewardship series, and I want to take a moment to talk about some of the wonderful work that has taken place around the church campus this year. Lamb received a facelift with a beautiful paint job and upgrade to their windows. You may not have realized, but most of those windows in the building were original to the space over fifty years ago. By upgrading the windows, the building not only became more energy efficient, but it also improved the safety of the facility for our kids who love to look out the windows (sometimes putting their faces and hands right up to the glass).

We also re-paved the driveway between Lamb and Maxwell Hall, as well as part of our parking lot, to ensure a safer and more accessible route for those traversing the space. Our campus and columbarium received some beautiful sprucing with new foliage and updates while the Partin Center and Sanctuary also had some much-needed maintenance projects completed.

These may not be projects that you immediately notice unless you are a member of our church trustees. We give thanks for their diligence and attention! But we also give thanks to you all who pledged and gave in the past year. Because you submitted your pledge cards in the stewardship season of 2025, we were able to budget for these projects and all of the other events and resources that we needed for ministry in 2026. We were able to forecast and know just what we could complete and what might need to wait for another year. That’s why we ask for your pledges. They serve as a resource for us to faithfully plan for the year and years to come.

By now, you will have hopefully received a pledge card in the mail along with a narrative budget and the newsletter. If you have not received a pledge card, there will be extras available in the sanctuary and Gathering Place of Maxwell Hall. I ask that you prayerfully consider your gift in 2027 and return that pledge card on the fourth Sunday during service. I give thanks for the way the Spirit moves in each and every heart to give generously of your time, talents, gifts, service and prayers! I look forward to seeing you Sunday!

With love and gratitude,

Pastor Rachel
