As we come toward the end of the year 2020, a year like no other, a renewal of HOPE is something that we all long for. For years, the United Methodist Women at Memorial hosted “No Room at the Inn”, a vast display of nativity scenes from different perspectives and cultures throughout the world. At the display, a love offering was collected for the Coalition for the Homeless of Nassau County, to benefit those who, like the Holy Family, also find “no room” at the inn during their time of need. To continue the tradition of this display and collect offerings for the Coalition for the Homeless in a safe way, “No Room at the Inn” has gone virtual! A video of some of our favorite nativities from past displays as information about the Coalition for the Homeless will premier on Facebook live on Saturday, December 5th and be also available on YouTube. DVDs will be available for those who need them (and sent to Mac Pack recipients). Please check by the church office after December 7th if you need a DVD.
