Beloved Friends,

We come upon one of the most exciting events in our church calendar next week- Vacation Bible School! From Monday through Thursday, we will welcome more than ninety kids to our campus for mornings of worship, art, science, drama, recreation, and snacks!

I always say that this week is incredibly important for these children because, for some, this will be the first time that they will hear about God and that God loves them. This might be the very first seed planted in their lives that begins to nurture and grow a lifelong relationship with Jesus. And for others, this week of learning and socialization offers a safe and fun environment to be with friends. Or, and this is just as important as we support our community, VBS may simply give working parents a free space for their kids to be supervised and cared for when other alternatives may not be an option. Regardless of the reason these kiddos come to campus, they will know that they are loved.

If you usually come to campus for a meeting, a class, or a mission please be sure to check in with your leader to see if there are any adjustments to time and location, as parts our campus will be closed from 9-12 daily to those who have not been background checked and trained in our Child and Youth Protection Policy (CYPP). If you are still considering volunteering, please do so by tomorrow. Holly will be leading a final CYPP training on Sunday evening for youth volunteers, and you are welcome to join in the training should you need to complete it. I hope to see you there! Who knows? You might just see your pastor stepping out of her comfort zone to participate in the morning assemblies!

With Grace and Peace,

Pastor Rachel
