What a wonderful beginning we have experienced in these first few weeks together. I am grateful for all the warm welcomes, cards, calls, and for you wearing your name tags! Please bear with me as I learn each of your names.

As a way for us to continue getting to know one another, you are invited to schedule a “Welcome Chat” with me. Twenty-minute sessions are available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. Just call the church office if you would like to plan a visit.

We are halfway through our sermon series, Love Shows Up And... We have already learned how love alleviates our fears and helps bring healing. This week, I will be exploring Luke 5:17–26, where a group of people loved their friend so much that they stopped at nothing to bring him to Jesus for healing. When the crowds were too large, they lowered their friend through the roof! The love of Jesus truly breaks down barriers.

I wonder how this story informs our faith? I hope you will join us this week as we explore that question together. Pastor Rachel will preach on the last Sunday of July to round out the series and share how love shows up and transforms. I cannot wait to hear the Spirit speak to us through her. Pastor Rachel’s gifts and work as a deacon bring a powerful and enriching perspective. I give thanks to God for her.

It is also a blessing that we offer digital worship at 11:00AM for those who cannot join us in person. We are so grateful that you worship with us each week.
