The Good News: Love Shows Up in Nassau County

The inaugural Memorial's Morning of Service was held on September 19th as the Hands-on Mission opportunity for the month. Groups from the Memorial family went out to serve alongside four different mission partners in our community.

One group worked with Hosanna Helpers, by doing some needed yard work and repair work at a local home. At the Purple Dove, the shop supporting the work of Micah's Place, a team helped sort items for resale. Another group spent time at the Hope House serving meals to our neighbors who are hungry. And a fourth group worked at Angels Unaware, a mission of Gracie's Kitchen, to help clean and sort homewares so that those in our area who are homeless can shop for free to get items they need as they move into new housing. Four important mission partners and four important ways that over 30 members of Memorial could learn more about the work of these missions and help love to show up by serving beside them on a Saturday!
