February 24th, 2023: Rev. Carrie Yoder

Lent is a season in the church calendar year that leads up to Easter. Over this 40 days (plus Sundays) Christians are called to a season of repentance and awareness of their need for God. Often people will fast from something, like a food or habit, others will take on a spiritual discipline, like reading scripture or prayer, in order to focus on their relationship with God. Both practices are meaningful and help you grow in your faith and deepen your connection with God.

This season we invite you to consider joining in our Pastor’s Lenten book study on Wednesday Nights. We will be reading The Lord’s Prayer by Rev. Adam Hamilton and seeking to learn about the prayer and its significance in our lives of faith.

There are two ways to participate in this study. Join us live on Facebook at 6:30PM each Wednesday (facebook.com/601centrestreet) where the pastors and a lay person will discuss the chapter. You can join in on the live comments feed and interact with our pastors. Or if you would prefer to participate in class at another time, you can watch it on our YouTube channel. We do hope you will join us; books are available in the worship spaces and in the Partin Center.

Blessings,

Pastor Carrie
