Prayer and Connection.

These are the two things we are focusing on in 2023 at Memorial. Developing a deeper personal and corporate prayer life and building deeper connections with each other.

Both things involve intention. We must each decide to wholeheartedly to commit to building our habits of prayer and persisting in a regular rhythm of prayer. Additionally, in order to develop deep connections with each other, we must regularly come together for worship, study, and missions. We must open our hearts to each other and be vulnerable.

Making these kinds of commitments to each other and God can be quite intimidating and overwhelming. You may be afraid that you will not be able to follow through, or that you won’t be good enough. You may have other fears or hesitations. But I want to remind you that we are a grace-filled family and that means that we will continue to make space for everyone all the time.

No matter how old you are, how long you have been with Memorial, or where you are in your faith journey you have a place at Memorial. I am looking forward in 2023 praying together more often and build deep connections to each other.
